Synopsis of project outcomes
- The exhibition was a huge success, raising awareness in clients of future technology and what it holds for the consumer, and more importantly for them, the OEMs.
- This one-off event is part of a longer-term business strategy aimed at promoting and funding R&D into future technology with their industry partners. Additional events are now planned.
Their was an immediate requirement for an exhibition stand (and graphics) and set of interactive demos to be used at an exhibition for the electronics and technology markets to help create interest in ‘future products’ for NEC's four key business sectors – Building Management, Industrial Automation, Healthcare, and Motor Control.
The four key demos generated covered the following key aspects:
- Building Control: Interactive ‘home of the future’ with keyless security, automated metering and temperature/mood control of each room from anywhere within the house.
- Industrial Automation: Industrial factory network that intelligently monitored the processes for any errors, then contacts maintenance and compensates until fixed, reducing factory downtime.
- Healthcare: Automated mirror that scanned your body providing X-rays, blood pressure, BMI and other readings. The data was then sent to a doctor for remote diagnosis and prescription.
- Motor Control: A fridge that could create/control a series of cool ‘zones’ within a single storage area.
The key to this whole project was the creative interpretation and application of highly technical and detailed information into visually engaging displays. The testimonial says it all.
