The Little Black Gallery brand developmentBrand identity, design and communication of The Little Black Gallery for the Bob Carlos Clarke Estate.
Successful branding and launch of London photography gallery.
The challenge was to develop a brand identity and proposition that balanced the need to create a fitting legacy for Bob Carlos Clarke, with one that would encourage aspiring professional photographers and photographic artists to showcase, promote and sell their work. The brand needed to quickly establish this new, unique, boutique venue on the premium London gallery scene.
Our approach was to create an identity and mood that is clean and subtle and captured the spirit and ambience of Bob’s work, without restricting the interpretation of the gallery as a space for all professional photographers.
The concept was both simple and beautiful and easily translated into signage and gallery frontage, as well as being able to be consistently applied across a range of marketing communications, to promote future exhibitions and the gallery in general.
The creative was embraced and accepted very quickly by all three partners Lindsey Carlos Clarke, Tamara Beckwith and Ghislain Pascal and helped quickly establish the gallery as a serious contender. Following our work in developing the brand identity and successfully promoting the launch event, we have been commissioned to continue to design and deliver the promotional collateral, both in printed and digital media, for all of its exhibitions.
Helping maintain the legacy of renowned photographer Bob Carlos Clarke.
Bonfire was selected as they quickly got to grips with the gallery concept and delivered what I feel was the perfect outcome. The standard of their creative work, attention to detail and print management of the reproduction of the images is exceptional. We are all very pleased with the outcome and I look forward to working with them on more wonderfully executed projects.
