Bonfire gives back

Each year as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility Bonfire donates 250 working hours to worthwhile causes. One of the charities we support is Survival International (www.survivalinternational.org) the only organisation working for tribal peoples’ rights worldwide. Survival International works to protect the lives, land and human rights of tribal people and its vision is to foster an understanding of, and respect for, the choices they make about their futures.

Bonfire supports Survival International by donating our time through free-of-charge design and account management services. The charity is offered free space in the national press and we create artwork to the specification supplied by the various publications. Press coverage this year has included; The Guardian, The Times, The Observer and Vanity Fair.

At Bonfire we are passionate about donating our time to great causes and Survival International is just one of the many charities we are involved with.

All for Mo, Mo for All!

Movember is well and truly upon us and already there is quite the collection of Mo’s being sported around the Bonfire offices; we have everything from a hairy biker to D’Artagnon with a few straggly ones in between.

Check out the door to our offices where you will find our special Mo Mirror where any ladies (or men who cannot grow their own Mo) will be able to get into the spirit of Movember and see how they would look with an outlandish moustache. Believe us when we say it is so much fun!

Seriously though, Movember is great to raise both funds and awareness of men’s health and particularly men’s cancers.

If you would like to contribute to the cause you can do by visiting the link below and searching Bonfire: http://uk.movember.com/donate/

Keep checking back to see our Mo progress throughout the month of November.

Bonfire puts Letchworth Garden City in the limelight

The Broadway Cinema, who are part funded and supported by the Heritage Foundation, launched a special programme as part of the Royal Opera House Live Season with the aim of encouraging an eclectic audience to the cinema. Bonfire was invited to be part of this unique and exciting opportunity to share the theatre experience with the people of Letchworth Garden City.

They wanted to convey the magic of theatre, the drama of the premiere performance and the unique nature of the experience. With this in mind, we created a theme which we carried across the posters and all supporting media; bringing to life the spirit of the live season and the anticipation of the upcoming performances. Bonfire also developed and revamped the concessions area and introduced a loyalty card scheme for all regular visitors to the Broadway Cinema.

The launch took place a few weeks back with the hugely popular Swan Lake taking centre stage. The scene was set on arrival with guests greeted by wine and canapés to the sound of a live string quartet, all of which perfectly accompanied the art deco cinema and the mood of the evening. The evening was a complete success and thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.

Bonfire’s work was designed to share the theatre experience with the people of LGC.

‘I’m sexy and I MO it!’

Walk around any town or city in November or ‘Movember’ as it has now become, and you will see a wild array of wacky and wonderful moustaches. This is all part of a worldwide campaign to raise not only funds for but also awareness of men’s health – specifically prostrate and testicular cancer.

Bonfire’s very own Sacha Harding is an ambassador for the charity and has invited us all to attend the official launch party in London this evening so, to get into the spirit of the event, all the men folk here at Bonfire have pledged to become Mo Bros and are busy planning what sort of moustache they will grow.

So roll on Movember where there will be much moustache related amusement but also raised awareness of men’s health which could be life saving.
