Ampthill was a hub of festive activity on Sunday when the Christmas lights were officially switched on; the weather was dry, the Christmas songs were playing and the mulled wine was flowing.
Here at Bonfire we decided to get in on the action and host our own Christmas event called ‘Switch on 4 Keech’ where we managed to raise £500 for Keech Hospice.
It was a great afternoon at the Bonfire offices with homemade cakes, a raffle, a lucky dip and face painting for the children (and some big kids too!).
Our mulled wine was particularly tasty and was much appreciated as it got darker and colder in the build-up to the big switch on.
You may have noticed the amazing Christmas display on the office windows and in the foyer. The theme this year is ‘Toy Box’ and we love that when you walk in it really feels like you are part of the toy box. We won a prize for the best dressed window last year and are very much hoping to win another one this year!
It was lovely to see Ampthill so busy and great to raise so much money for such a worth charity. A massive thank you to everyone who was involved and everyone who came along.
We’re already thinking of bigger and better things for next year….
